Picco, Arco or Quadro: Choosing a Fluted Oak Profile

Picco, Arco or Quadro: Choosing a Fluted Oak Profile

All FlutLine panels share the same basics: solid European oak, a width of 104 mm, a self-adhesive backing and any height up to 2,800 mm. What changes is the profile, the shape of the flutes. It decides how light falls on the surface and how calm or lively the finished piece looks.

Picco: fine lines, expressive texture

Picco has the narrowest flutes. The many fine lines create a detailed, tactile texture that stands out on smaller surfaces such as cabinet fronts, drawers and bedside tables. Up close it feels rich; from a distance it reads as an elegant, even structure.

Arco: soft curves, a calm rhythm

Arco has rounded flutes that catch light gently. It is the most versatile profile: calm enough for large walls and counters, warm enough for living room furniture. Many of our customers choose Arco for TV benches, reception desks and kitchen islands.

Quadro: clean edges, distinct character

Quadro has square-cut ribs with crisp shadows. It suits modern, architectural interiors and works well on doors, wardrobe fronts and feature walls where you want strong vertical lines.

Natural or Smoked oak?

Natural oak is light and warm and brightens a room. It pairs well with white, beige and light grey furniture. Smoked oak is deep brown with a richer, more dramatic grain, ideal for dark interiors, contrast with light walls or a hotel-like atmosphere. Because oak is a natural material, grain and colour vary between pieces; this is part of its character.
